My first personal encounter with the game was at the IGF display at GDC '08. I didn't get to play it, because Petri (Purho, the game's creator) was obsessing over the demo levels he had set up.
It was then that I realized why the game hadn't been released yet and why it might take quite some time to be "done". I could tell he wouldn't release the game until he felt it was genuinely great, and not just a great idea.
That, or he'd just keep working on it until he began to starve and needed the money from sales. =)
